The Print Tool Workshop Objectives
The Print Tool Workshop will provide all the training necessary to evaluate any child in printing and provide a detailed remediation plan.
At the end of The Print Tool™ Workshop, attendees will be able to:
- Analyze all handwriting curricula through the use of “Curriculum Analysis”
- Understand the eight essential components of handwriting
- EVALUATE – Administer and Score The Print Tool™ Assessment
- REMEDIATE – Interpret The Print Tool™ results, write a report, and design
handwriting plans for children - Set handwriting goals and demonstrate evidence based intervention
through proper documentation - Plan ways to share handwriting knowledge with others
- Understand the benefits of “HWT Level 1 Certification”
- Make The Print Tool™ work for you—Handwriting and You!

Certification— Steps to Obtain HWT Level 1 Certification
In addition to The Print Tool™ training, attendees will learn about using HWT in various settings—tutoring, clinics, schools.

Note: This workshop assumes all attendees have a basic working knowledge of the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum. The presenter will be focusing on the objectives and outline for this workshop and will not have time to spend on the details of using the readiness, printing or cursive programs. For training on using the curriculum, you should attend either the Pre–K and/or the Printing and Cursive workshops.
