Peter Giroux, M.H.S., OTR/L

Peter Giroux is an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Northeast Louisiana University, a Master’s of Health Science from Mississippi College and is currently working towards a PHD in Clinical Health Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He has twenty years of experience as an OT and ten years of experience with HWT. In addition to academic responsibilities, he remains active in clinical practice by providing occupational therapy services in a school based private practice serving children with special and exceptional needs. He has used the Handwriting Without Tears® program with children of all ages in both public and private schools as well as with children in both regular and special education programs. Peter has been a National Workshop Presenter and consultant for HWT since March of 2000.
